Terms + Conditions
Please read all terms & conditions prior to submitting a request for a party. You will be required to acknowledge that you have read and accepted all terms & conditions set forth below.
Deposits
Please be aware that all deposits are non-refundable. A 50% deposit of your total party package cost is required to confirm and book your party. Event date may be changed without additional deposit so long as the new date is available and the request is made with at least two weeks advanced notice of the original event date. Should the need arise, changes to your party package must be made within 48 hours of paid deposit or additional deposit may be requested.
Arrival
Decorating staff and vendors will arrive onsite at an agreed upon time. We cannot be held responsible for delays or incomplete décor if not allowed a reasonable amount of time for set up. Depending on party package, most set ups will require at least one hour prior to event start time. A fee may be charged if staff and vendors are not allowed to access the venue more than 15 minutes past the agreed upon time.
Please have the premises of the party to be free and clear based on pre negotiated layouts that would be determined during the planning process. Staff will not be responsible for moving personal items before or after the event.
It is vital that all children are present on time. Kid District has allotted time for the execution of each party. In the event that any children arrive late, Kid District will try to service each child as time allows, however we cannot continue beyond the designated time-frame in consideration of clients booked subsequent.
Disposal
Kid District and any Third Party vendors or staff will be responsible for the take down and cleanup of their products only. Any trash removal or cleaning to the Premises is the sole responsibility of the Client.
Party Enhancements
All products provided during the services are the property of Kid District LLC or its Third Party Vendors. In the event that any items are broken on behalf of the Client, the Client agrees to pay a replacement cost based on receipts or comparable product costs.
Assumption of Risk / Release of Liability / Accidents
You understand that by acknowledging this portion of the waiver of liability, you release and hold harmless Kid District LLC and its owners, employees, instructors, volunteers, consultants, vendors and all other persons or entities acting for them from any and all claims, demands, suits, cost and charges, in connection with or arising out of Kid District LLC services and events, including but not limited to, personal injury, bodily harm, injury, or property damage occurring while the children are in their presence at a Kid District event. You acknowledge and understand that there must be a responsible adult over the age of 18 years old to remain with the Kid District LLC event at all times. You are also solely responsible for providing any allergies to Kid District prior to the service date.
Photography Release for Minor Children
You hereby authorize Kid District LLC, to publish photographs taken of all adults and/or minor children, and our names and likenesses, for use in the Kid District LLC's print, online and video-based marketing materials, as well as other Company publications.
You hereby release and hold harmless Kid District LLC from any reasonable expectation of privacy or confidentiality for yourself and for the minor children associated with the images specified. Further, you attest that you are the parent or legal guardian of the children and that you have full authority to consent and authorize Kid District LLC to use their likenesses and names.
You further acknowledge that participation is voluntary and that neither you, nor minor children will receive financial compensation of any type associated with the taking or publication of these photographs or participation in company marketing materials or other Company publications. You acknowledge and agree that publication of said photos confers no rights of ownership or royalties whatsoever.
You hereby release Kid District LLC, its contractors, its employees and any third party vendors involved in the creation or publication of Company publications, from liability for any claims by you or any third party in connection with my participation or the participation of the minor children listed below
Insurance
Kid District maintains general liability insurance in the amount of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage liability combined.
Third Party Vendors
Kid District will engage with Third Party Vendors when required and complete a Third Party Vendor Contract for the service dates.
Inclement Weather/Outdoor Clause
Should inclement weather conditions arise or be anticipated that would make it unsafe for travel of our staff and vendors, Kid District has the right to cancel or postpone our services. In this event, we will reach out to you to reschedule within 45 days of the original date.
Cancellation Policy
Things happen and we understand! We require 2 weeks’ notice to reschedule your party. Parties must be rescheduled within 60 days of the original event. If Client cancels an event within 2 weeks, you may be required to reimburse us for the items & supplies already secured for your party at the sole discretion of Kid District. All deposits are non-refundable.
Supervision
Kid District loves interacting with the children during parties, however, we ask that parents or a responsible adult remains on site for the duration of the party, as we cannot assume responsibility for unattended children.
Payments
We will accept payment via money order or certified check, or via PayPal or Cash App. Fees may apply depending on payment method. Instructions for payment will be outlined in the Service Agreement which will be provided to all clients once the consultation is complete and the services have been agreed upon. Deposits are required to confirm booking. The balance of your event is due 24 hours prior to the event.
NOTE: Prices of parties are subject to change based on the consultation. Clients should refer to their Service Agreement (provided upon completion of the consultation) for a comprehensive summary of the party cost.
Kid District serves the DC metropolitan area and will travel up to 20 miles of zip code 20012. An additional charge of $1 per mile roundtrip for any travel above 20 miles, but no more than 50 miles. Client will be responsible for any and all parking and toll fees if necessary.
